National Botanical Gardens of Wales. 2021-05-25.

Had a lovely trip to the gardens which stretch over a vast area in the west Swansea area.

The gardens contain a large number of activities from a butterfly house, beautiful gardens including a walled garden, birds of prey and the largest single span Glasshouse in the world which contains many different flowers and shrubs. There are lots of restaurants and cafes and activities for children. It's well worth a visit.

Winston Churchill exhibition at Blenheim Palace.

Took a visit to Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire to renew my membership and have a little walk around the grounds. The cost is around £29 for the day but can be converted into a yearly ticket which makes it quite cheap. We couldn't do much walking as it was raining, would you believe. I did however get to go into the Churchill exhibition which is extremely interesting. I took a few pictures before  having a coffee in one of the many restaurants in the estate. Will return when the weather improves.

Minster Lovell, Oxfordshire visit

Visited Minster Lovell today to check out local walks. I had previously used the Swan Inn car park as the starting point but it appears to have been fenced off, so I took a different walk from the cricket ground to the rear entrance of the abbey. It was really muddy.

Took some pictures of the ruins and the adjacent fields.

When I had finished I had a well earned half a pint of bitter shandy and a small snack in the Swan Inn which is a lovely pub.

I then set off back to Eynsham via the little village of Crawley, and I was very lucky to catch a picture of a newly born foal.
